I lost my L eyebrow back in college as a result of running a yellow light on my racing bicycle and getting hit by a car, flipping over the handle bars; the ER doctor looked at the injury and immediately told me that my eyebrow would not grow back. He was right! So----after years of extra time each morning to powder them in I did extensive research on the various brow techniques and decided to go for it with Mai's Beauty and try the nano. Chau is the best. I initially came here to get nano brows and after that was done found out she also did lashes. I’ve been coming to get my lashes done with her ever since. I love the way she takes time with lashes service and I appreciate her style of lashes too which fit my aesthetic. I also notice whatever glue she uses doesn’t sting my eyes after and that in itself speaks to how meticulous she is and the products she uses on clients. Chau is the best! Her salon is clean, her instruments are meticulously clean, location was easy to find in downtown Walnut Creek location, ample street parking that is free on holidays and weekends, and has a good warm welcoming vibe. Chau rendered a very caring, affordable, thorough, thoughtful, and aesthetic eye brow service. She makes you feel like you are just having your best friend do your eyebrows in her home but in a very professional manner. I was so relaxed with her soothing music in the background I was falling asleep and felt I may have snored so many times as I was drifting asleep while she does my eyebrows in such a calm relaxing manner. Her semi permanent eyebrows did not hurt at all! You can tell she is passionate in helping people make themselves feel better in the outcome of her services and she is very skilled at it. She even gave me an aftercare package after the eyebrow beautification services was done and gave clear concise aftercare instructions. She took her time, never felt rushed, felt cared for professionally in a calm friendly manner. Would love to come back for other services she offers. I had waited many many years to get my permanent eyebrows out of fear that they would be misshaped, too dark, sloppy etc. Also many artists charge extremely high prices. Mai is wonderful! My eyebrows are on point! They are just perfect! Everything about them, size, shape and color. Mai was affordable so at first I was skeptical, but she gave me a great price. She also has been very accommodating with scheduling and rescheduling, which is great for us ladies who work varied shifts. Mai won’t do something that won’t look good just to make the money. Throughout the years, I’ve encountered people who’ve consistently remarked on how unapproachable I looked, and I knew it was because of the shape of my eyebrows. First time getting my brows done and Chau could not have been more patient and kind when explaining the process to me. She answered all of my many questions and made sure that I felt comfortable at every step.
Chau checked in on me during the healing process to see how I was doing and could not have been more thoughtful and supportive.
My touch up was just completed and I could not be more happy with the, almost, final results (4 weeks until they are completely healed but I’m already thrilled with the 24 hours post touch up results).

I decided to get permanent eyebrows to save time on my daily makeup routine. After years of filling them in with pencil, I wanted a more long-lasting solution. The procedure took about 2 hours, with the first 30 minutes spent on designing the brow shape. Chau applied a numbing cream, so the discomfort was minimal—just a slight scratching feeling.
